[Warrior blood group antigens]
abbr. WARR. The Warrior blood group antigen expressed on erythrocytes is a low-incidence red cell antigen (Coghlan et al, 1995). It has been shown by Jarolim et al (1997) to be due to a C to T mutation in codon 552 that leads to a Thr to Ile substitution) in the band 3 protein.
In the nomenclature of CD antigens the protein has been given the designation CD233.
