This monoclonal antibody detect an antigen on 40-50 % of bone marrow lymphocytes, platelets, megakaryocytes. The antigen is not detected on Myeloid cells at all stages of differentiation (promyelocytes, myelocytes, metamyelocytes, and neutrophils). HuLy-m1 is cited by Thurlow et al (1985) as the antigen identified by monoclonal antibody 9.6, and thus is CD2.
