Name of a monoclonal antibody obtained after immunization with human dendritic cells from CD34(+) progenitor cells cultured with GM-CSF and TNF-alpha. DCGM4 specifically reacts with a cell surface epitope present only on a subset of dendritic cells, which have been identified as Langerhans cells. Accordingly, the antigen has been termed Langerin (Valladeau et al, 1999). In the nomenclature of CD antigens this protein has been given the designation CD207.
