Name of a cDNA the expression of which is induced at least 10-fold in peripheral human blood leukocytes by treatment with staphylococcal enterotoxin A (Schmid and Weismann, 1987; Zipfel et al, 1989). It encodes a protein of 99 amino acids that resembles human Beta-Thromboglobulin (42 % homology) and shows extensive homology to members of the protein family known as Chemokines (Van Damme et al, 1988).
