TRICK2

[TRAIL receptor inducer of cell killing-2] TRICK2 belongs to the TNF receptor superfamily and contains a death domain. Two variants, designated TRICK2A and TRICK2B, arising by alternative splicing have been observed (Screaton et al, 1997). The gene is expressed at high levels in lymphocytes and spleen. Overexpression of TRICK2 rapidly induces cell death by apoptosis. TRICK2 has been shown to function as a receptor for TRAIL and can inhibit TRAIL induced killing of cell lines derived from lymphocytes.

TRICK2 is identical with DR5, KILLER and thus the same as ... ... ... ... ... Subscribe to continue reading! ... ...
