[death receptor-5] see: TRAIL receptor-2. DR5 is identical also with TRICK2 and KILLER. Owing to its homology to other members of the TNF receptor superfamily the receptor is being referred to also as TNFRSF10B [TNF receptor superfamily member 10B]. The ligand for this receptor is TRAIL (APO-2 ligand).
The mouse homolog of the TRAIL receptor DR5 (KILLER) has been cloned by Wu et al (1999), who named it MK (mouse KILLER). The MK protein (381 amino acids) binds TRAIL
