The flr gene of Staphylococcus aureus encodes a secreted protein of 105 amino acids designated FLIPr [FPR-like1 inhibitory protein; FPRL1 inhibitory protein]. flr, identified by Prat et al (2006), shows 49 % homology with CHIPS and 73 % overal homology with FLIPr-like.
