NAK1
An early response gene the transcription of which is rapidly and transiently stimulated by growth stimulating agents, such as adenosine diphosphate, in monkey kidney cells (BSC-1), by phytohemagglutinin in human lymphocytes, and by serum stimulation of arrested fibroblasts (Rangnekar et al, 1992).
NAK1 is expressed in human fetal muscle and adult liver, brain, and thyroid. NAK1 is induced in human melanoma cells exposed to IL1. NAK1 is a nuclear receptor belonging to the human thyroid hormone receptor class. NAK is the mouse homolog of nur-77 and
