MALA-2

The murine lymphocyte activation antigen MALA-2 identified by rat monoclonal antibody YN1/1.7 is expressed by lymphocytes after cell activation (Takei, 1985). Prieto et al (1989) have reported that MALA-2 is expressed by some, but not all, lymphoid cell lines, myelomonocytic and mastocytoma cells. In frozen tissue sections MALA-2 is detected mainly on germinal center B-cells, dendritic cells, macrophages, and vascular endothelium, including high endothelial venules.
