IL1-delta
[interleukin-1-delta] IL1-delta is related to IL1 and shows strong homology to the IL1 receptor antagonist IL1ra. The protein is known also as FIL1-delta or IL1F5.
Abundant expression is observed in embryonic tissues and tissues containing epithelial cells (i.e., skin, lung, and stomach). The factor is produced by keratinocytes but not by fibroblasts, endothelial cells, or melanocytes. In keratinocytes the levels of IL1-delta are approximately 10-fold higher than those of the related factor IL1-epsilon. Expression in keratinocytes is upregulated to a certain extent by a combination of IL1-beta
