Sequence comparisons show that H174 is a member of the CXC-Chemokines and is identical with Beta-R1, IP-9, and I-TAC (Jacobs et al, 1997).
The gene is being referred to as SCYB11 [small inducible cytokine subfamily B member 11]. The old designation was SCYB9B. According to a new numeric nomenclature these factors are also being referred to as CXCL11.
