I-TAC

[Interferon-inducible T-cell alpha chemoattractant] This factor, which belongs to the group of CXC-Chemokines, was identified through sequence analysis of cDNAs derived from primary human astrocytes activated by cytokines (Cole et al, 1998). The cDNA encodes a protein of 94 amino acids (including a 21 amino acid signal sequence) that do not contain an ELR sequence motif. Sequence analysis reveals that I-TAC is identical with Beta-R1, IP-9, and H174. According to a new systematic nomenclature the name CXCL11 has been proposed for these factors. The gene is being referred to as ... ... ... ... ... Subscribe to continue reading! ... ...
