CXCL11
[chemokine (C-X-C motif) ligand 11] approved gene symbol for a member of a group of cytokines generally known as chemokines. Members of this group of so-called CXC-Chemokines belong to the SCY family of cytokines and are designated CXCL (L for ligand) followed by a number (Zlotnik and Yoshie, 2000).
CXCL11 has been identified independently as I-TAC [Interferon-inducible T-cell alpha chemoattractant], which is identical with beta-R1, H174, and IP-9. The gene is being referred to as SCYB11 [small inducible cytokine subfamily B member 11]. An older designation is SCYB9B [
