Endophilins

this term refers to a family of cytosolic proteins, Endophilin A1, Endophilin A2, Endophilin A3, Endophilin B1, and Endophilin B2. The term endophilin is used frequently as a collective term for Endophilin A1, Endophilin A2, Endophilin A3, all of which are involved in endocytosis. Endophilin B family members are involved in autophagy and mitochondrial dynamics (Kjaerulff et al, 2011).
