BB18

BB18 is a monoclonal antibody that recognizes a cell surface glycoprotein disulfide-linked dimer of 150 kDa. The expression of this glycoprotein on T-cells increases readily after cell activation (Bougeret et al, 1992). Triggering of this dimeric protein through BB18 epitope in the presence of submitogenic concentrations of PMA induces strong lymphocyte proliferation.

In the nomenclature of CD antigens this protein has been given the designation CD100.
