The collective term regulatory myeloid cells has been used to refer mainly to three cell populations of myeloid cells with immunomodulatory functions: regulatory macrophages (abbr. Mreg; see: macrophages), regulatory dendritic cells (abbr. DCregs; see: dendritic cells) and myeloid-derived suppressor cells (abbr. MDSCs) (for overview see also: Rosborough et al, 2014)
