[leukoblast, leukoblastic]
a general collective term for some cell types of the hematopoietic system comprising myeloblasts, lymphoblasts, monoblasts, which are immature precursor cells that develop into terminally differentiated effector cells (see also: hematopoiesis, hematopoietic stem cells).
