[Zinc finger protein 36] This early response gene is identical with nup475 (nuclear protein-475), which encodes Tristetraprolin. See also: Zinc finger protein.

The protein binds to AU-rich elements in the mRNAs of various growth factors and destabilizes their mRNA (See: ARE).
