[urokinase plasminogen activator receptor] The cDNA for this receptor has been cloned by Min et al (1992) who demonstrated identity with the monocyte activation antigen described as MO3 or MO3e. The approved gene symbol is PLAUR [plasminogen activator urokinase receptor].

In the nomenclature of CD antigens this protein has been given the designation CD87.
