[tyrosine kinase related to TRK] The cDNA encoding this receptor tyrosine kinase has been identified by Karn et al (1993) on the basis of sequence similarity to neurotrophin receptor trkA. The approved gene symbol for this kinase is DDR2 [discoidin domain receptor 2]. In the nomenclature of CD antigens this receptor has been given the designation CD167b.
