[Signal peptide-CUB-EGF-like domain containing protein 3] A databank synonym is CEGF3. Human SCUBE3 shares an overall 60 % protein identity and a similar domain structure with SCUBE1 and SCUBE2 (EGF-like domains, CUB domain). SCUBE3 is highly expressed in primary osteoblasts (Wu et al, 2004). Low level expression is observed in human umbilical vein endothelial cells. The protein is secreted and can form oligomers tethered to the cell surface.
