RICK
[RIPlike interacting CLARP kinase] A serine-threonine protein kinase containing a caspase activation and recruitment domain. RICK potentiates apoptosis induced by CD95, FADD, CLARP, and caspase-8. RICK interacts with CLARP and expression of RICK promotes the activation of caspase-8. Rick also interacts with NOD2.
The protein has been renamed RIPK2 [receptor-interacting serine/threonine kinase 2] and is identical with CARDIAK, RIP2. A databank synonym for this protein is CARD3,
