[Lp220(+), Lp220(-)]
The Lp220 antigen is a common leukocyte marker. It is 220 kDa in size and is part of a protein complex referred to as T200. Expression of the Lp220 molecule decreases upon cell activation of T-cells, and the Lp220 molecule itself plays a role in lymphocyte activation (Ledbetter et al, 1985). Antibodies to Lp220 molecule rapidly increase the expression of IL2 receptors on activated T-cells and promote T-cell proliferation in IL2-dependent T-cell proliferation assays (Fahey et al, 1983). Lp220 is identical with CD45R. See: CD45.
