[leucine-rich and death domain containing protein] Human LRDD encodes a protein of 83 kDa with six leucine rich repeats at the N-terminus and a death domain at the C-terminus. LRDD is involved in the regulation of cell death by apoptosis and has been shown to interact with FADD and MADD. The protein has been identified independently as PIDD and appears to be a splice variant (isoform 2) of this protein.
