LIX
[LPS induced CXC chemokine, lipopolysaccharide induced CXC chemokine] The corresponding cDNA was isolated from a murine Swiss 3T3 cell cDNA library as one of several mRNAs induced by bacterial lipopolysaccharides and attenuated by dexamethasone (see also: GARG).
The predicted LIX protein has a length of 92 amino acids and belongs to the family of CXC-Chemokines. The expression of LIX is strongly induced by bacterial lipopolysaccharides in fibroblasts, but not in macrophages.
