LCC-1
[liver CC chemokine-1] This gene was identified by homology searches in expressed sequence tag (EST) databanks. The human gene (3 exons; SCYA16) maps to chromosome 17q11.2. The protein (97 amino acids) belongs to the group of CC-Chemokines and shows 31-48 % identity to other CC-Chemokines.
LCC-1 mRNA expression is restricted to adult and fetal liver. LCC-1 is expressed constitutively in human HepG2 hepatoma cells and is induced by conditions of hypoxia.
LCC-1 is identical with NCC4, LEC, HCC4, LMC, Monotactin-1
