[lymphocyte-associated receptor of death] LARD is identical with APO-3, DR3, wsl-1, TRAMP. It has been described as TR3 (TNF receptor-like-3). Owing to its homology to other members of the TNF receptor superfamily the receptor is being referred to also as TNFRSF12 [TNF receptor superfamily member 12] and this has been renamed TNFRSF25 [TNF receptor superfamily member 25].
At least 11 isoforms of this protein arising from alternative splicing have been identified. LARD-1 is the full-length isoform that contains a transmembrane domain and a death domain
