[immunoglobulin-like transcript 11] The gene encoding ILT11 has been cloned by Wende et al (2000). The protein has a length of 299 amino acids, contains two extracellular Ig domains. The gene and some splice variants have been cloned independently as LIR9 [leukocyte immunoglobulin-like receptor 9]. The approved gene symbol is LILRA5 [leukocyte immunoglobulin-like receptor subfamily A member 5].
In the nomenclature of CD antigens this protein has been given the designation CD85f (see: CD85).
