IL1RP3
[IL1-related protein-3] The gene is a member of the IL1 family and lacks a conventional hydrophobic signal sequence (Busfield et al, 2000). The encoded protein is related to IL1ra. Expression of the gene appears to be restricted to various epithelial cell populations.
The same gene has been described by other authors as IL1F5 [IL1 family member 5; Interleukin-1 family member 5], FIL1-delta and IL1-HY1. The approved gene symbol is IL36RN [interleukin-36 receptor antagonist].
