HT7

The chicken HT7 antigen is a highly glycosylated 45-52 kDa protein localized in brain endothelial cells, kidney epithelial cells and erythroblasts. It has been described as an inducible membrane glycoprotein on chick blood-brain barrier endothelium. Astrocytes have been shown to secrete into the conditioned medium a factor inducing the expression of neurothelin in endothelial cells of chorioallantoic vessels.
