[G-protein-coupled receptor-37] This G-protein-coupled receptor has been identified by Marazziti et al (1997) in a search for receptor genes specific for neuropeptides. The cDNA has been cloned also by Zeng et al (1997), who referred to the receptor as ET(B)R-LP [endothelin receptor type B-like protein]. The receptor is expressed in Purkinje cells of the cerebellum and in neuronal cells of the hippocampus. Zeng et al (1997) have shown in functional assays that the receptor is not activated by endothelin-1, endothelin-3, bombesin, or neuropeptide Y.
