abbr. FpB. This fragment of fibrinogen (pyroEGVNDNEEGFFSAR) corresponds to fibrinogen-beta(1-15) from the N-terminal region of the beta chain, which is released from the parent molecule by thrombin cleavage.
Richardson et al (1976) have reported that this fragment is chemotactic for monocytes and neutrophils.
Kay et al (1974) have identified fibrinopeptide B as a chemotactic agent for leukocytes.
Senior et al (1986) have reported that the fragment causes the directed cell migration of neutrophils and fibroblasts but is not chemotactic for monocytes. The
