[fibroblast growth factor receptor-2] This receptor has been isolated independently as TK-14, bek, Cek3, K-sam, KGF receptor (KGFR). In the nomenclature of CD antigens the receptor has been given the designation CD332. The FGFR2 gene has been shown to encode two important splice variants that involves two alternatively spliced and mutually exclusive exons (exon 9 and exon 10, corresponding to the latter half of the third Ig-like domain in the extracellular part of the receptor).
