CMPs

[common myeloid progenitors] This cell type has been described by Akashi et al (2000). These cells are hematopoietic progenitor cells restricted in their development to cell types of the myelo-erythroid and megakaryocyte lineages (see also: myeloid cells). CMP cells do not express lineage markers, express the IL7 receptor, do not express the stem cell antigen Sca-1, express high levels of the SCF receptor kit, low levels of the Fc-gamma R1, and are CD34(+).
