BCL2-like-13

abbr. BCL2L13 (pproved gene symbol). This protein is a member of the BCL2 protein family that regulate apoptosis. The sequence of this gene (designated MIL1) has been described in an unpublished report by Zemskova et al (1999). It encodes a protein that localizes to mitochondria. Its expression is said to promote cell survival. Sequence comparisons show that the gene is the same as BCLrambo
