abbr. These factors are produced T-cells and lymphoma cells. Two types of factors have been distinguished. Those termed B-LPF [B-lymphocyte promoter factor] induce polyclonal differentiation of normal experimentally unprimed mouse lymphocytes into antibody-forming B-cells. B-LPF appears to be different from IL1, IL2, B-cell growth factor, or allogeneic effector factor and its nature has not been elucidated (Reininger et al, 1985; Rubin et al, 1984).
