flt-3 ligand
(known also as STK-1 ligand). This ligand (abbr. FL, flt-3L, FLT3LG), termed also flk-2 ligand, binds to flt-3 (see: flk-2).
Lyman et al (1993, 1994), who cloned the mouse and human gene, have reported that a soluble form of the ligand stimulates the proliferation of defined subpopulations of murine bone marrow and fetal liver cells as well as human bone marrow cells that are highly enriched for hematopoietic stem cells and primitive uncommitted progenitor cells
