[WH2 domains]
[WASP homology domain 2] This protein domain of approximately 35 amino acids binds to actin. It is found in various proteins, including thymosin, ciboulot, verprolin, wave, CAP, WASP, actobindin (Paunola et al, 2002) and plays a role in actin assembly (for overview see: Carlier et al, 2013).
For other widely occurring sequence motifs and modules binding actin and thus influencing the structure and dynamics of the actin cytoskeleton see also: CH domain, thymosin-beta-4 motif, ADF-H homology domain, GEL homology domain, FH domain.
