This peptide, GWTLNSAGYLLGKINLKALAALAKKILamide, is a chimeric peptide composed of the first 12 amino acids of the neuropeptide galanin (galanin(1-12); GWTLNSAGYLLG; Gly-Trp-Thr-Leu-Asn-Ser-Ala-Gly-Tyr-Leu-Leu-Gly) in the N-terminus and the wasp venom peptide toxin mastoparan in the C-terminus, connected by a lysine residue.
