TREM3

[triggering receptor expressed on myeloid cells 3] TREM3 is an activating receptor of the Ig superfamily identified by Chung et al (2002). Related factors are TREM1 and TREM2. TREM3 is expressed in murine macrophages, at low levels in cell lines established from T-cells, but not detectable in NK-cells, B-cells, or mast cells. Expression is upregulated by LPS and downregulated by IFN-gamma. Chen et al (2008) have reported expression of TREM2 on endothelial cells and Kupffer cells.
