Sarcolectin

abbr. SCL. The approved gene symbol is KRT7 [keratin-7] (designated K7 by Glass and Fuchs, 1988); termed also Cytokeratin-7. Sarcolectin is a secreted endolectin of 55 kDa (Jiang et al, 1999) that has been identified in sarcoma and normal hamster tissues as a protein that agglutinates normal and transformed cells and that reduces the antiviral state pre-established by IFN-alpha and IFN-beta (Jiang et al, 1983, 1984).
