[sperm antigen 36] This protein (558 amino acids) is recognized by a mouse monoclonal antibody, which induces extensive, sperm agglutination. The cDNA encoding the sperm antigen 36 gene has been cloned from a human testis cDNA expression library (Yakirevich and Naot, 2000). SA-36 cDNA displays > 99 % homology to the mRNA encoding Glucose-6-phosphate isomerase (GPI) or neuroleukin (NLK).
