ROSA

This mast cell cell line has been generated by Saleh et al (2014) from the CD34(+) fraction of normal umbilical cord blood cells. ROSA cells constitute a factor-dependent cell line as the cells, termed also ROSA(KIT WT) (for wild-type), require stem cell factor for growth. ROSA(KIT WT) cells stain strongly positive for tryptase and kit, but express only little if any chymase.
