PmIAP

[Penaeus monodon inhibitor of apoptosis protein] The gene encoding PmIAP has been cloned from the tiger shrimp, Penaeus monodon, by Leu et al (2008). PmIAP is a widely expressed protein of 698 amino acids that contains three BIR domains and a C-terminal RING domain. In insect cells, PmIAP, together with AcMNPV p35 (baculovirus p35 protein), and WSSV449, an anti-apoptosis protein encoded by white spot syndrome virus), can all block apoptosis induced by Drosophila Reaper protein, whereas only baculovirus p35 protein and WSSV449 block apoptosis induced by actinomycin D. PmIAP physically interacts with ... ... ... ... ... Subscribe to continue reading! ... ...
