O13 (also: AbO13) is a monoclonal antibody that defines a cell surface antigen expressed on most cultured human cells, but not on rodent cells. The antibody precipitates glycoproteins of 25 kDa and 30 kDa that are encoded on the X chromosome (Dracopoli et al, 1985). The characteristics of the antigen suggest that O13 is related or identical to the 12E7 antigen and related or identical to MIC2X and MIC2Y.
In the nomenclature of CD antigens this protein has been given the designation CD99.
