NMP35

[neuromembrane protein 35; neural membrane protein 35] The cDNA encoding this protein has been cloned by Schweitzer et al (1998) from the developing rat sciatic nerve. NMP35 is found predominantly in the adult nervous system (brain and spinal cord) where it is upregulated strongly during postnatal development mainly in neurons where it is found mostly at postsynaptic sites and in dendrites (Schweitzer et al, 2002). The protein is identical with LFG [lifeguard].
