[NLR family, pyrin-domain containing 4] This is the approved gene symbol for PYPAF4 [Pyrin-containing APAF-1-like protein 4], a protein that has been described independently as NALP4 [NACHT-LRR-PYD-containing protein-4] and PAN2 [PAAD and NACHT-containing protein 2]. The protein is a member of the CLR family (NLR family) and is known also as CLR19.5. For nomenclature see also: Ting et al (2008).
