TNF-alpha-induced protein 2 |

[natural killer leukocyte chemotactic factor] This biochemically uncharacterized factor of > 6.5 kDa is released by degranulating NK-cells. It is chemotactic for mononuclear lymphocytes and neutrophil granulocytes and NK-cells (see also: Chemotaxis). NK-LCF is probably involved also in tumor cell killing since NK-sensitive tumor cells can cause the degranulation of NK-cells and hence promote the further accumulation of NK-cells and phagocytosing cells attracted by NK-LCF.
