Meucins
Meucins are a group of related antimicrobial peptides isolated from scorpion venoms.
Meucins exhibit extensive cytolytic effects on both prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells (Gram-positive, Gram-negative bacteria, fungi, yeasts, rabbit erythrocytes, and rat dorsal root ganglion cells) at micromolar concentrations.
