[ganglion cell, ganglia]
a type of large specialized neuron that is part of a tissue mass of similar cells. These clusters of cells are called ganglia in the peripheral nervous system and nuclei in the central nervous system. The cells are being referred to also as gangliocytes.
Horn cells are ganglion cells of the spinal cord.
